Why you should lock your handlebars

wow!!! That is some good info to know.... I just have a problem with "Trust" sometimes... I will start doing this...

A footnote here: I tried on my 2014 SGS to duplicate this and could not remove the mechanism but it may be possible on mine as well as older FLH products.

I always lock my bike. I don't trust anyone with my bike in a public place. One of my friends had his bike stolen the day before he left for Iraq. They were always giving me a hard time because I lock mine everywhere we go, even in his driveway. He didn't lock his ignition, so they just popped it into neutral and pushed it away...

Wow seeing that makes me think I should try locking my now. I am on my third bagger since 2004 and I have never locked one lol. Seeing that makes me think twice now.

I felt the button under my switch... but dare not try to remove it... prolly never get it back in..lol!

That video should be standard issue with the owners manual when a new Harley is bought.

I noticed the private video as well. Although they fixed this I believe for the 2014 models. Ive seen the video before

Locked or not, a simple pair of channel locks snaps the switch housing very easy. If they want the bike bad enough you can't stop them if it's left out .

Yes it is, The next time anyone pulls that lock/switch, look how cheap and easy it is to break. We did it for customers all the time when the switch/lock would fail. The tank style on Roadkings are very weak. The next time you are in your dealership ask the service guy how hard it is to do.

I don't believe I've locked my forks 4 times in 14 month. Probably should but I never think about it-

I'm pathetic . . . . . .
