Happy Holidays to you!
Well my wife bought me the Matazu bag extensions for Christmas. I put them on just to see how they look! WOW badass! Now the only thing that I need to do is put some holes in my Harley bags! I can't get myself to do it!
Can anyone recommend how to go about this without messing up my bags. Besides the washers nuts and bolts did you guys use any adhesives?? Or thread lock? Also I'm going to get them painted to match the Charcoal Pearl. Would you have them painted prior to installation? Any advice/opinions/help is much appreciated🏽

Install first and make sure they mount and fit good... Then have the shop do a little bodywork and then paint

I like them too. As for installation. I placed my saddlebag upside down on a towel, marked the holes with a Sharpie and drilled the holes. I didn't use any adhesives. After doing this, I took them to the painter. It didn't match my big blue pearl paint at first so I took it back with a side panel for color matching. Turned out great. This is so worth it. And cheap.

Sounds good! I will drill them out and install in morning. Then look into the paint and body work. I was looking into the 1 inch drop blocks. Just have to find the right kit for my progressive shocks. I hear if you don't get the right ones the shocks will hit the bag and puncture a hole with time because of angle of the shock once lowered.

Pls keep us posted on how the "lowering" turns out. I've been thinking of doing that myself but never got to it yet.

I just used some blue lock tite to make sure I didn't lose the nuts off the bottom.

Looks sweet! I'm going to pick up the PPG Charcoal Pearl from Harley and then get a shop to do the work.
I will add the blue lock tight.

Okay all installed...it was a piece of cake as long as you make sure you choose the right size of drill bit and make sure it's fairly new/sharp it went through like butter. Holes were a perfect fit for nuts and bolts. Added the blue lock tight with washers and BAM!

Next on list is the 1 inch drop in rear. I decided to order the kit from Tamarack. The kit is specifically made for our bikes.
Bags will go to shop for some paint soon

Those are gonna look sharp once painted...something I may do later.

I also used that 1' lowering kit, very easy to install, 20 minutes.
however it changed my already hard suspension to riding on a brick.

just my experience
