Hello
I've been reading up on the different posts here and elsewhere on the bars. I have a pretty good understanding of the different sizes and pullbacks.
I am 5'7". I take my bike on some pretty long trips. This next year I have a ride to Denver and a ride to Phoenix planned, both will be rather long rides from Iowa.
I put some decent miles on it this year, and started noticing that I'd get the cramps in-between the shoulder blades, and the pain in the wrists due to the angle of the stock bars.
Now, 10" and 12" will solve the problems without any question. But I have a problem- I'm really particular about how the bike looks. I don't like the ideas of the mirrors sticking out above the fairing. I just think it messes up the flow of the bike. Especially looking at it from the front. Like rabbit ears. Granted, I wouldn't be looking at it from the front much, but it still would bother me.
I know the higher you go, you can keep stock mirrors and look under your arms, but I want to keep my hands behind the fairing as well.
So, long story short-
1.Are 8" bars worth it? With the angle, pullback, ect?
2. Does anybody have any pictures from the front of what the mirrors look like with 10"bars? I have gleaned a lot of info from pics posted from the side and cockpit, but not many out there of the front.
3. Do I just need to get over it? Lol.
Thanks guys.
