Will FOB loose settings if battery removed

2014 Street Glide
I bought the bike used and as it did not come with a second FOB, I bought one. I had it setup for my bike and it works great. Since it does nothing right now except be there in case my other one crooks, I am thinking about removing the battery so it will not die. Question is: If I remove the battery, will it lose it's settings?

I did the same with an extra FOB and just change them out every 4-6 months. The batteries last a long time in these and when changing them, the settings are NOT lost.
