I tinker with it and would love to become more proficient but no time to really learn all the details. I learn what I need to when I need it....

I took a wall paper and a pic of my scoot... cleaned off the background and layered them.... my new avatar.

I have the PSD saved to play with shadowing and affects... any ideas from avid users of PS4 or newer... feel free to give some tips... thanks

My wife is a graphic artist and works for company that does vinyl, banners, wall coverings, vehicle lettering, etc......... She is the one who made my vinyl snow blower decal. She has applied vinyl to fire trucks, ambulances, walls, race cars, business doors and more. She also does films and gets files ready for press for companies such as HD, Taco Bell, Leupold, Miller Brewing, too many to list. Photoshop on her Mac at work is her daily job. It is amazing to watch her at home edit our photographs from trips. Such as eliminating people, buildings, a rogue tree branch, etc... You really cannot believe any picture you see anymore. I called in and shot a red fox a few winters ago. The picture was not pleasing because of the blood. She eliminated all the blood from the animal and it now looks as though it's just lying by my knee waiting to get petted. I think your avatar is awesome. I mean really, a American flag and a HD. Sweet.

Thanks.... I wish I had all the knowledge of the software. I get by.. but I know there are MUCH easier ways to get what I want done... I just feel like I have a round about way of getting it all done. I need to take some classes.. lol!

Tutorials online have helped me tremendously.... i keep them all saved for reference.

I could prolly stand around your wife for HOURS just picking her brain... lol!!!

If she had a side business doing this stuff she'd never make any money. She is just too damn picky. LOL. Just so you know Spazz, editing takes a long time. Even for her and she's been doing this for maybe 20-25 years. It all depends on the level of detail. Weeding the small stuff is very time consuming. Then add in color correcting and all the other tasks.

Oh I know.... its all in the details.... I have a good friend that owns a graphics company... He has NO TIME on his hands..... he is really good, but man.... I need my time.... LOL!

I have had Photoshop Adobe 3 for some time. Not very good at it but I was able to do a cover of my bike for my FB page some time back. Beats boredom at times lol.......modsaaa.jpg here:

Spazz I like the new Avatar. I dabble with Photoshop and Final Cut some when I need something done I can't get my daughter to do.

I don't use PS much, as I typically use GIMP, because it's free. That and Sony Vegas drained my wallet a while back. I don't do much with mine, just some small thumbnails for my YouTube videos, hence the Vegas setup. Mostly video game type stuff for me. Nothing too detailed.

hevyrockerdk- I have Gimp on my Macbook Pro but after learning the conventions of PS I could never really get the hang of it.

Mojo- That makes sense. I played around with Photoshop for a little back in high school, but never really got the hang of it either. There are some things I wish I could use in Gimp that are PS exclusive, but for what I use it for, I get by.

Like anything though, the more I mess with it, the better I get with it.
