Gutted the cat from my headpipe and dropped a set of TC's on my Glide. It sounds amazing...not annoying but a nice deep rumble.

I'm very pleased with these pipes.

I went with the Jackpot 2/1/2 headpipes and Rinehart 4" slipons for my bike. Definitely happy with the sound coming out the back end. Only issue now is I keep hearing a rattle and I know it's one of the heat shields - thought I got it tightened down and then heard it again this evening on a run into town. Damn hose clamps..

I put the Dragulas 2into1 on mine in black. Not loud an very happy with it.

Just curious, what footboards do you have one there? Got a pic from a different angle? Those don't look stock at all..

I want to gut my cats. What did u use to do it and is it in both pipes? I'm thinking someone told me its only in the front pipe not both.

It is in the chamber right behind where the two head pipes come together and ends where the tailpipes begin and go to the mufflers. If you do it let use know if you end up with cross talk issues from the O2 sensors.

Hadn't seen the additional posts on this thread...I, myself, haven't had any O2 sensor issues in case anyone is wondering.

How do you gut the catalytic converter?

Cut a window in the side of the cat then pull it out (its like a honeycomb) the weld the plate back on. I bought one with the cat out on eBay for $135

Be careful on eBay looking at these. There are scammers out there that just drill the cat. I put a link to my purchase at the end of this message. This seller does excellent work, the cat is removed completely and the pipe is TIG welded in a fixture ensuring a good fit. Also make sure they weld with stainless filler rod.

I didn't have a bit of trouble gutting mine ImageUploadedByTapatalk1375247903.568650.jpg
If you look carefully you'll see the O2 sensors are separated. Made a world of difference in sound and power.

No cross talk, have been running gutted cat for about 1000 miles and no issues at all. Sounds better and better performance.

Jbird,
I haven't had any issues with mine either. Over 4k miles. Sounds like a Harley now and not a jap bike. Also installed thunder monster baffles. Sounds great! :)
