First I must apologize for this being my first post. Long time lurker, first time poster. Anyway, I have a 2015 SG and decided to upgrade the headlight to the JW Speaker Evo II, mostly because of the high praise on this forum. I must agree with many others that this headlight is a fantastic improvement at a good price if you are looking to upgrade.

After the install, which is relatively simple, I noticed the high beam indicator staying on. So I went back in and checked my connections and all seems good. I used the HD LED harness adapter and everything looks like a nice snug fit. I must also mention that I installed new grips the night before - I didn't notice the light on then but I wasn't really checking it either. The switch from hi to low works just fine but I can't live with that stupid blue light, which is pretty darn bright at night.

Any thoughts on what I need to check next? Could it be the headlight itself?

Check your grip installation....you would have had to take the switch housings apart to do that properly...my guess is you crossed a wire in the left housing when you put it back together....ask me how I know.

Good suggestions. Quick update... I ended up exchanging the light and problem solved. Apparently this is a very uncommon experience, even the tech guy at JW Speaker said he never heard of this happening. And of course I am the one guy that experienced the problem. Pretty happy now though.

Hi,

I have the exact issue with brand new JW Speaker Evo2 headlight in my Softail Slim 2016. The issue is a bad headlight?

Thanks.
