Taiddan Garage door opener

Got Taiddan unit installed, install on SG was very painless, however for Garage door part was very confusing as manual did not specifically spelled out which wire to to use and I have Blue/White in 2 areas so tried the first ones and did not work, then tried the 2nd one and worked.....overall it's not too bad and the best part is it works and now I just have to flash my high beam and it opens.

If anyone is thinking about getting one.....do it, a lot better than dealing with separate remote unit. I have a Genie remote that I used before today and whenever I get home I have to reach into my pocket and with my gloves I can't find it so easy and when I Velcro it to fairing I have to remember to remove it whenever I stop or someone will take it, lost one once that way.

Thanks IamBr549 for your post on it, this makes my life a lot easier... :)

Your welcome! Love mine every time I use it!

Wonder if you can install 2 or more units in parallel. IE: When you hit the high beams, it triggers all of them. Don't see why that wouldn't work. I have 3 garage doors I need to control but I'm only ever within range of one at a time.

I know you can program multiple remotes to one unit but not sure the other way around. Contact seller on eBay. Would be curious to know.

Yes you can. Just contact seller on eBay. You need 3 receivers and 1 remote.

Just FYI for everyone the seller is a stand up guy, he even called and texted pictures to me to help me hook mine up. There's not too many eBay sellers that'll do that.
If you have a Chamberlain motor with the MyQ system you actually have to solder the wires directly to the circuit board to get it to work.
Thanks to the OP for posting this mod up.

I just bought this. Quick question, where did you guys mount this to the bike? I have not taken my headlight off. Do I need to remove the fairing to do that? It comes with a lot of wire. I assume I can trim the leads to a much shorter length?

Thanks to this post I no longer have to fumble with fob. Got the two remote kit. 45 min later, this includes drink break and flash to open. SG I mounted inside the front fairing next to the radio amp I had a nice space and scured it there. Spliced into the wiring adapter used for the daymaker. Quick and easy.

I took off my fairing to install mine, much easier. I mounted the remote to the right of the radio and zip tied all the extra wire.

You can trim wires. I took off light and mounted to inside fairing on left. I thought easier than taking off fairing. Plus light wires are right their to tap into. Good luck!

Just installed mine. That was as easy as it gets. This is by far the best $50 mod out there on a Harley. The fact I can now use the high/low beam flash button to open the door is so nice. And it works from really far away. Great mod and a must have!

Lambr549 - thanks for starting this thread! Like a kid I smile not having to fish out the fob. Best money spent by far!

I picked up one and installed it a few weeks back. It's infinitely better then having to carry around the bulky key chain garage door opener, but I was hoping it would have farther distance from what I read in other reviews. For me, it has the same distance as my key chain remote, which is about half the distance of the regular full size remote I use in the car. I'd like to be able to open it a little further down the street, rather then 100ft or so from my driveway, so I don't have to duck down to miss the opening door as I pull into the garage.

Another odd thing I noticed is that although the documentation noted something like the device only sends a signal during the first 30 seconds of high-beam activation, I notice that if I pull up to my garage with the high beams on (from being on during my daytime riding) that the garage will start to open, then it gets another signal and starts to close.

These are minor quibbles I suppose. I just have to remember to turn off my high-beam when I pull into my neighborhood, and hit the flasher when I'm about 100ft from the driveway to open the door, and then duck a little to miss the opening door as I pull in. It's still WAY better then having to take my hand off the bars to find the key chain remote's button.

Contact seller. They have great customer service. Something doesn't sound right. I can open my door several houses away.

Man that was an easy install. This has to be one of my cheapest and most functional mods.
Thanks for the thread.

Had the power supply of mine go out. It happens. Seller reported back quickly and has a new power supply on the way. Really responsive. And like has been said, product is really good.
