wanting to upgrade the lighting on my 14 street glide, just installed the daymaker reflector headlamp, which seems to help a bit but not enough in my opinion. Wife and i live pretty far out in the country, lots of windy roads and deer, so want the most light i can at night. Been researching auxiliary lights, would really love to get the daymaker reflector aux lights, until i found out i would need an additional bracket that costs $350! anybody running the kuryakyn setup, do they help much at night? Was also researching fog lights mounted to the crash bar or brake calipers, would these work better for night riding on back country roads?

Save up your money and buy the brackets and auxiliary passing lamps.

after countless research on driving light options, think i'm gonna go with the harley auxiliary light bracket-buy the required bulbs, and upgrade them to the day maker reflector led aux lights in the future to match my day maker headlight. Would love to purchase the bracket and day makers all at once, but damn that would be about $700 for driving lights, ouch! Was considering the fork mounted moto lights also, but i would think the harley aux lights would provide the most useable light at night?

Is that price from your local selling dealer? You can try some on line sellers like Kutter HD etc.

Steep for sure but EVERYTHING is on a Harley. I remember the sticker shock of $700+ for 4 point system, luggage rack and backrest & pad.

Has anyone installed a set of Roadking/Touring passing lights on a 2014 Streetglide? Is there a wiring harness I can buy from H-D? I'm going to do this!!. I am just wondering if someone else may have already done this and could give me some insight on the wiring. The lights and bracket are from a 2013 Roadking. So it will have the old style blinkers, not the Streetglide. Realistically, these ARE the same bike! It all depends on what your idea of good or not so good "looks" are. Myself, I don't care if mine doesn't look just like yours!

hemi, I put on a new take-off set of passing lamps on mine. I know eventually someone will have a set from a 14 or 15 Roadking, but mine are from a 13. Minor differences in looks. Either way you will need a switch so there is that cost. I don't know if the 13 is different than the 14 as far as connectors are concerned. I bought new connectors from NAMZ. There are more outlets for these so don't get worried. I have $20 in the connectors, "shipping was more than the connectors" You can watch videos on youtube to see how it's done. I have $200 in the lights, maybe 2hrs. total labor, and it's done! BUT, here's the thing, it will be the Roadking style light set-up. With the chrome bar between the passing lamps. AND if you don't like or want the lights that are in it, you will spend MORE $$$ again. This is just something to ponder.

Does JW Speaker make the Daymaker Aux lights, and has anyone heard of Phase 2 for LED Aux lights like they have for the 8700 headlight? I hate to buy now if there is a better aux light coming out.

That's a good question, I've not heard WHO makes the Harley Aux lights. They look a lot like the Daymaker in design.

Yes JW Speaker make the aux lights also. I did not see a updated version on the JW Speaker website.

I was looking around for black LED Aux lights and found Motodynamic had them for Harley at 100$ less than the daymakers. Not sure if they are the same as the daymakers but they sure look the same. I have them on order, will let you all know how I make out.

Just to let everyone know the Motodynamic LED aux lights work great, plug and play. Just need the dealer to get them working on the high beam setting.
