Rinehart Racing 4" vs. CFR Slip-ons

I'm going to be picking up my 2013 Street Glide the beginning of September after I get back from deployment. I was wondering if anyone has heard both the 4" Rineharts and the CFR slip-ons. Looking for a deaper sound but I would still like to hear my radio. Also going to go with drue duals down the road. Probably get the duels after I have enough money for the Stage-one kit and ECU. Thanks for anyones help that can assist me with this.

First off let me just say that both are excellent choices, especially if you are looking for something that performs well and provides a quality tone that much louder than the stock mufflers. We sell a lot of CFRs (I personally run these on my own '10 Street Glide) and have a lot of guys switching from the Rineharts to the CFRs simply because of the deeper 'rumble' they produce. I have these paired with the stock head pipes that still has the catalytic converter in tact and they provide a deep, baritone sound that garners LOTs of compliments everywhere I go. The sound level they provide with the stock head pipes is much louder than the stock mufflers but not deafening at cruising speeds plus I really like the megaphone shape and styling of them.

On the flip side, I ride with a couple of guys that have CFRs paired with an open (no cat) head pipe such at the Vance & Hines Dresser Duals and they are much, much louder than mine since the catalytic converter is not 'muffling' the sound. The sound is still a deep, baritone sound but much louder at highway speeds. With that, some of my buddies say that they like the increased sound and that it doesn't bother them at highway speeds but there are others that say that when they are on a long ride they now have to wear earplugs to so their ears aren't ringing afterwards. I really just think it is a matter of personal preference.

In regards to the Rineharts, lots of guys (and gals) are running these and are very happy with them. The tone they produce is like the CFRs in that they are much louder than stock but where the CFRs has a deep, baritone sound the Rineharts product a higher pitched 'rumble'.

Personally, I think that which ever one you went with you'd be very happy with. It's just really a matter of what you are after in terms of the type of sound you're wanting as well as the look.

I'm running the VH Monster rounds with the Power dual headers. They sound great! Not too loud until you open it up, but plenty of low, deep, muscle sounds. I couldn't be happier with my choice.
 
Thank you all for your help. I think I am going to go with the 4" Rineharts due to the fact I will get diffrent headers down the road and dont want to have to wear earplugs.
 
I just put the black 4" Rineharts on my '13 SG. I had the stock heat shields powder coated black as well. They look and sound good, but I want a little more. I am picking up the Vance and Hines Power Duals to pair with them this week. I'm sure it will make a big difference in both, heat and sound.

Yea, you'll definitely notice more sound out of them for sure. That stinkin' catalytic converter in the stock head pipes really tones down the sound.
 
I got the V&H Power Duals installed and couldn't be happier! Very nice sound and a good deep rumble... I recommend the set up to anyone looking for that deeper tone.
 
I pick up my '13 Street glide tomorrow. I had the Stage 1 kit put in and had them cut out the cat and install the 4" Rineharts. I am anxious to hear them tomorrow. Gonna be a loooonnnnngggg night tonight and an even longer work day tomorrow.
