Does anyone have any input on these headers? Mainly if they are significantly hanging below the frame on the right side or are the similar to the stock exhaust. Thanks.

39 views, no response, maybe these just aren't popular head pipes.

Sorry- don't know about those- maybe some area dealerships have them installed on floor models...

I really don't know about clearance issues with these pipes, but I was very close to ordering them this week for my '15. I have the RC 4" black slash up slipons w/decatted headpipe now, love the mufflers. The only thing I don't like about the headers is the chamber cover/nameplate on the side. Same with the Rinehart and VH Power Duals not a fan of the big X. After going back and forth and reading this forum and others, I ordered a set of S&S Power Tune Duals #55-0143A which I've been hearing are very good. Couple bucks cheaper than the RC I got them for 489.00 on Amazon, and everything is hidden. Looks like Dresser Duals, but still have power chamber. I am waiting on them now. Also heard good things about the Cobra PowerPorts as well. I can let you know when I get them installed.

Thanks D94, I have been so back and forth myself. I will look for your review of your new headers.

D94 .... what might you have in store for the de-catted head pipe? Jersey here too and was thinking about picking one up or doing that to mine.

Well.. Hoping all goes well with the new system, won't need it. If interested pm me.

D94,

how did the S&S Power Tune Duals #55-0143A work out for you?

I was also thinking of buying these. Wondering what you thought and how they worked out for you.

I've been laid up for the last few weeks (herniated disc acting up again) but I was finally able to get them installed last Saturday. Very nice quality, the fit was a little tricky. I thought I was going to have to remove the brake pedal to get them on, but a little patience and they slipped right in. I did change exhaust gaskets just to be safe, and the Jims tool really worked awesome for that. Fired it up and all is well. They sound great, but I haven't been able to get out to ride yet. Hopefully this week. Customer service was awesome, had a few questions, and they responded right away. If you like the cleaner look of dresser duals vs the big x or nameplates, these are a great option. I'll try to post a pic later.

Thanks for the feedback, hope you get to feeling better so you can get out and ride.

Well I was finally able to get out today and man what a difference! Bike sounds and feels awesome. Really pulls on the low end and feels real strong going up through the gears. I know sound is very subjective and personal taste, and personally I'm very happy. Nice rumble at idle, real aggressive growl at take-offs and nasty as hell when you get on it. It may be more than some may want, and muffler choice will factor in as well, but I like it on the rowdy side. Summing up, for sound and performance I truly believe that these S&S Power Duals are a great option. I hope this helps,....

Thanks for the feedback. I ordered mine yesterday along with some 4" rineharts.

No prob. Take your time during install. Like I said earlier, they are a little tricky seating them into the jugs, but they will go. Also, i forgot to mention mine did come with new gaskets no need to get them if you don't want to. Here's some pics to give you an idea. Good luck... Have fun!!image.jpgimage.jpg
