priming for start up after build

I just went through this yesterday after rebuilding my motor. I used the following method to prime it:
Unplug the ignition coil, remove spark plugs, but battery on a charger and press the starter button (holding for 10-15 seconds at a time), for approximately 20 times.
Is it a good idea to have poured some engine oil in the engine sump and cam chest during assembly to help the oil scavenge pumps get primed quicker during the process you mention?
I would say yes to that question hulkss. In fact, my buddy the recommended pouring a quart of oil into the crankcase before installing the cylinders, but I forgot to do that. I did make sure to prime well with the starter though; pressing the information button on the right switch housing periodically to verify that pressure was building and bleeding off as it should.
1. install the correct base map for your build in the ECU.
2. Prime the engine by removing the spark plugs and unplugging the coil from the wiring harness, as well as fuel line from the fuel tank (if you leave the fuel line connected the ecu will inject fuel in the cylinders which will remove oil from the cylinder walls NG) .
3. Spin the engine over until the oil light goes out then continued to spin the engine over for 4 more seconds. Install the plugs and reconnect the coil and fuel line.
4. Start the bike and bring engine rpm to 2000 rpm, ride the bike 10 miles not taking the engine over 2500rpm. Your engine will then need to be tuned ASAP.
