Overspray help!!!!!

So my garage is full, I park bike in front yard yesterday.
Gf comes over- I'm at work- and she does a home paint project with a few silver rattle cans .

She decides to do this --- leaning her project on my front tire!!!

As of yesterday, my SG is 4 days old and only has 1300 miles.
And now has silver ****ing specs all over the rims tires front fairing engine and right side boards

Please help me- how do I get all this off

No idea about the paint but I'd start with Tinder or E-harmony for the new girlfriend...

I have had this exact problem..... no joke..... only it was yellow paint on a white car... paint surface felt like a textured car.... it made me sick!

the overspray will come off.... use Meguiars Claybar.. Wally World and Target carry it.

Use as directed and knead the clay often. use ample amounts of the spray in the kit... you can use it on the chrome as well...

it takes time, and don't push too hard... no need for hard pressure, the clay will lift the overspray. Do small areas and check every now an then to ensure its all gone.

Being the bike is so new, you should have a fresh coat of wax from the dealer prep... so it should come off fairly easy

WAX IT GOOD when you are done with the claybar....


On the rubber parts.... use a soft rag damp with acetone.. it should wipe right off with the little pressure in the stubborn areas... DO NOT USE ACETONE on the painted parts!

Most definitely!
I may have a buddy come over and help just to make sure I don't mess it up!
I'm really scared to hurt the new paint.

All else fails I'll pay a few hundred(or she will) to have it professionally detailed!

You wont hurt the paint or chrome.... watch the video.... you will have no problems... just a lot of time invested, but you will be so happy you did it. Just keep an eye on the contaminants on the clay.... you want to 'fold' over the clay a few times to get new clay to to the surface and not rub contaminants back onto the surface

She literally cried for half an hour, I was really upset with her

But she had never spray painted b4 and lack of knowledge was what upset me-
The fact she never asked, or thought to protect the bike is what upset me.

We spent 3 hours on it this morning-
It is most definitely coming off easily!
The little bolts and oil cooler and spokes are giving me hell now!!!

Don't know how I'm to handle the fins in the radiator!!!

I'm really happy so far tho and tomorrow I'll go get the new wax for it.

My buddy is thinking we should be done in a few more hours!!!
With two of us going at it I see no reason why not

Good to hear! Keep at it... it's alot of time and effort....you'll get it...

Try a toothbrush and some goo gone on the oil cooler... it may lift it off.. acetone will remove the black coating, so don't use that

I'm not a professional detailer, but after 6-7 hours of tedious slow work--- she looks amazing!!

Well the fact she cried and for that long, shows she cares .... people just do dumb stuff sometimes without thinking things through. Ask anyone who works in public service or military and be prepared to laugh.
