Where did you purchase your Monkey Bars from and how long did you have to wait, if at all.

Also, if anyone had them installed at the dealer what was the cost for the install?

I am looking into the 12". Seems like Yaffe is making them but there is a bit of a wait on it. Some people have been waiting six months!?
 
I have 12" and had them installed at the dealer before I even brought my bike home. They had them on hand. If I remember correctly they charged me 3 or 31/2 hours labor.

I waited 8 weeks but was strung along for 5 weeks. My opinion is why wait on him ! He caters to big companies not guys like us. My indie waited 3 months for bags and fenders from him after a bs story ! Forgot his roots ! Find yourself a start up builder with a good rep that will build you bars and be honest . I know I wish I did

I ordered Vindikta, I ordered right before Christmas and got them in about 5 weeks, which at the time because of the holidays they were running that long, now you can get them in about 2 weeks. My indie says Vindikta was great to deal with unlike Yaffe and he also said the chrome is better.

Good info from everyone. I appreciate it!

I am keeping options open and this has helped in looking into other bars. I am still kind of stuck on the YMB's (I like the look) but it really will depend on the wait time and what else I see that I like. The Arlen Ness bars are interesting to me. It would be nice to have the flexibility on long trips.
 
Tom it's your bike so you shouldn't settle at all . Just keep in mind you can get the ymb style from lots of guys just fyi.

Certainly! I am after that style of bar. It may or may not be from Yaffe. Availability is the key for me. I am one impatient SOB. lol

Grengras HD posted on FB ( can't find the exact link ) that they just got 12 12" YMB in chrome INS INSTOCK (black still on backorder )

And don't get sucked into thinking 13 and older bars don't fit 14/15's... THEY DO!!! I have a set for a 13 on mine... installed to more exact sets for some brothers.... they work... trust me

Good info on the fitment Spazz. Thank you! I am looking for bars in black. Kind of want it to melt in with the inner fairing.

You'll be waiting a while for black... I just hooked a guy up in Canada with a set my local HD dealer had on the wall for like 3 weeks... lol!

I'm going down there now.... I'll see if they have any more and let you know... Chester's buys in bulk and keeps it secret, but I'm like 'family' there..
