So, as I brows the Harley dealership for cool stuff to put on my bike to customize it (like everyone else's) I am amazed at the ridiculous cost of even the simplest parts. So........ In the interest of having something unique, I got creative.......

Nice looking bike Joker! The custom touches are so subtle a person would almost think HD designed it that way! LOL

I absolutely agree that MOCO prices are outlandish but have to admit that the quality of parts is quite good. This winter I amassed a collection of parts, all Genuine HD, mostly from e-bay. Everything I purchased was on my master list of things I wanted for the bike. Many items were CVO or Ultra take offs and in new condition. Pile of parts retail at HD was about $2K. My investment was about $800 including shipping (which basically offsets state sales tax if bought locally). So if a person is patient there are good deals to be had.

Much much much more to come.......
So far the cost is under $50.

Amazing what a guy can do with $50 and a little of his time. Nice Job Joker! I'll be lookin' for more photos.
In the mean time I'm headed to the HD shop to pick up my bike from winter storage! Start schleping some parts on the gal!

I'm interested to find this out as well. I wouldn't think PD would hold up to the temperatures that the pipes put out.
