Anyone know if this is a decent amp for just using with a good set of speakers in the fairing? I don’t know to much about it audio systems I can get for 125.00 bucks

I think that is a good amp and a very good price. Does it come with the wiring harnesses or will you have to buy them separately from JM? I would run it with a goos pair of 2 ohm speakers, such as the Infinity Kappa 62.11 which is a 2 ohm load like the HD factory radio. That'll give you 90 watta per channel, which is plenty of power to allow good sound at highway speeds.

Thx for the reply guys, You see it came out of a 09 road glide and I want to put it in a 15 street glide, I called J&M and they said they don’t make a harness to make this work but I did hear Rockford fosgate may have a plug and play harness anyone know if it’s true? Trying to research it

I have Rockford in mine (2014) and yes it is plug and play but are you going to adapt it to the J&M ?

I suggest buying wiring harnesses from J&M and adapting them to the existing amp harnesses. I don't believe the dealerships flash for non Boom Audio equipment anymore, so a line leveler of some sort will probably be needed. FYI, you will probably end up spending another $250 plus to get the wiring needed to complete the installation.

I think your right NGOT8R, seeing how I went on amazon I could by the exact amp brand new that would actually fit my bike for like 350.00

Here's a better option for you with room to grow into if you're not ready to install rear speakers yet.

I have the older J&M 2 channel 250w amp on my 2015 SGS and I love it. Even though it's a 2 channel amp, I am running rear pod speakers with my tour pack and it's plenty.

That does look like a good deal, I’d still like to know how you got the old style to work in yours though I’m just curious now and what speakers are you running thx again

My J&M 250W 2 channel amp (purchased new in 2015) was specific to the 2014-2015 SGS. It came with speakers, but I sold the speakers to my buddy and bought Focal 165 KRC 6 1/2" speakers. My amp (although a 2 channel amp), is running the fairing and rear speaker pods which are attached to the tour pack. I did have to modify the speaker wiring in order to install the crossovers that came with the Focals, but that's it. I love the way they sound! Here are a couple of comparison videos.

I appreciate all your feedback brother.

No problem. I forgot to mention, that while the stereos on both of my motorcycles sound great, my 2015 has an advantage over the 2018 which is, it has the HD 7 pin connector on the gas tank. I bought an HD 5 pin to 3.5m adapter to plug into the 7 pin connector which allows me to plug in a set of Beats ear buds. The sound is phenomenal because these are very high quality ear buds and there is no wind noise. Don't get me wrong, I like the amps and speakers on both bikes, but I like the 2015 setup a little better because of the aforementioned option.

NGOT8R, could you tell me a little more about the 7 pin connector on the gas tank and the 5 pin to 3.5 plugs and not the 7 pin for the beats ear buds and how this all works, I don’t understand the 7 pin on the gas tank for one thing, I have a 15 streetglide myself
