In the middle of install. Easier that I would think to get to this point. Thank you to Spazz!

You gotta take the fairing all the way off and a saddlebag just for bars? Lol!!!

I have shop envy though!
No.. you don't have to.... you can pull up on it and angle it forward which gives you enuf room to get to the bat clamps

With a shop like that, I'd have gone that extra mile on disassembly too.

I also have shop envy...

I should get a shop.

Yes probably could have left the batwing and just rotated it. But it is only 8 bolts and 6 wire plugs and the whole thing is off. I took the main fuse out that's why the saddlebag is off. I do love my shop, although it is a mess right now. My wife is having a garage sale in the spring and all the junk ended up in my shop.

image.jpgTook an hour and a half to get wires through bars. I didn't even throw one tool but it will test your patience.

Yeah... the wires can be trying on ANYBODY's patience.... good job!

All done and everything works! Not near as bad as the dealership makes it sound. In all it took almost 6 hrs. Wonder if I can convince the wife to let me spend all that money I saved.image.jpg

Off topic but was wanting to know what shifter levers you have tracerace ?
That's the style I'm wanting to go to.

Get on your bad motor scooter and ride

Tracerace.....looks great. +1 on the seat. I'm going to be changing my bars also. Been a little apprehensive about it.
This is encouraging. Thanks

Bike looks awesome and I'm thinking about bars now but would have to be 14 or 16 inch to fit me.

Thanks, it's really not bad. Once you get the wires through the bars and hooked back up, knowing you didn't skin a wire, your home free. You are met with resistance getting them to go, feels like you could damage a wire easily. I did tape the wires a few times with a high quality electrical tape. Also after starting the bike the first time it took a couple of minutes for the radio/gps to respond to any controls.
