Hello everyone,
I just bought a 2015 Street Glide, I had a 2007 road king that I traded in for my new bike. On my road king I had bub 7 exhaust pipes which I really loved because they had a deep rumble to me exactly what a Harley should sound like. My father in law has the same road king with v and h exhaust and we both agreed that my bub 7 had a better sound. Well now I have the new 103 and want to put on a nice exhaust system. I don't know what pipes to get I love to be heard coming down the road. I am open to suggestions but please tell me about the pipes you suggest.

Thanks,

This is a personal preference answer mine is a 2-1 I have a d&d and love the sound it's loud and has kind of a stock car sound. Pro pipe is another good one. If you like true duals RC is a good one.

I also like 2-1... though I may be inclined for 2-1-2 ...

V/H Pro pipe is what I run... started with standard baffle and now with Comp... look up my posts for videos of both in the exhaust section.

The ONLY 2-1-2 I would go with personally is V/H Power Duals head pipe and 450 Destroyers or 450 Raiders or CFR'S

Sound a personal preference od course... I like obnoxious

Thanks for the suggestions. I have looked into all the v and h pipes and rush exhaust and many others. All my Harley's before now I bought used but now that I bought a new street glide I want to make sure I get great sounding and performing pipes. 2 into 1 pipes performance you cant deny but I like the look of a pipe on each side I guess that's why I am having such a hard time. I am going to the Laughlin river run at the end of April so I need to decide soon. Thanks again

That is one good thing about a d&d you get the performance and sound of a kick ... 2-1 and you can get a ghost pipe so you still have the looks of duals. There are also others that offer a ghost pipe, v&h does not sadly, that is one reason I did not end up with a pro pipe. (My wife wanted the look of duals so I went with the d&d with ghost pipe)

Well I run a supertrapp 2-1 and it is all about performance as for the sound it is mellow at low rpm BUT can be loud when you want as well. So I don't wake the neighbors up when leaving the house at 5am but everyone can hear me on the freeway when I am splitting traffic. I am sure Spazz and Mojo can attest that it can be loud lol

For sure Jay... I'm up there with you being obnoxious

I have RC components and like the sound. My wife on the other hand says they are to loud. The best way for me to decide was listen to my friends bikes, listen to bikes at the dealership. Lots of videos online, but not the best way unless a quality microphone was used and you have quality speakers.

Oh yeah, I'm sure there are still plaster pieces lying in the streets of Nevada City, CA!

I had that apprehension also..was worried about how the left side would look with no pipe covering the belt guard area, etc. Well, I bit the bullet and went with the ProPipe anyway..decided that performance and sound should rule over the looks of a pipe that I cannot see from the saddle anyway. I have not cared that it is not there..but, then again I have not seen the left side from a right leaning curve either..doubt I ever will. Lol.

Teofilio- Its a tough but personal decision we've all had to make, but it's fun too!

Just wanted let everyone know after listening to countless pipes I went with CFR exhausts they will be here Tuesday. I will let you know how they perform and sound.

When I bought my (new to me) 2012 SG last fall it already had V&H True duals. I added V&H 4 1/2" twin slash ovals last week. Wonderful deep rumble note. Sure your CFR's will be impressive too.

I had the cary fass on my vrod and loved it but know I run the vance and hines pro pipe and love it even more and you get the best performance out of a 2 into 1

Putting true duals on mine next week picked out python mufflers new air setup performance chip and dyno time spending about 1800.00 will let you know the outcome

Sounds good! Keep us posted.....

On my 2012 Roadglide I had a Fullsac x pipe and their 1.75" Cores for Harley CVO mufflers. This set up looks stock so no issues with the Law. I just bought a 2014 Street Glide Special and have again gone with a Fullsac pipe but V&H High Output slip-on's.
Check out Fullsac.com they offer a great product.

I'm a fan of the True Duals especially the ceramic coated ones. Your right thigh will appreciate them in the summer traffic!
