How to repair clear coat scratch?

Got my first scratch on the bottom corner of a saddlebag yesterday when I backed up into an object. It gouged the clear coat on but not the paint and is only about 1/4" x 1/16". What's the best way to fix this? It's not visible from eye level, but I'd like to fix it.

Got a rock chip also. My HD dealer ordered this for me


Kit contains the color of paint specified and clear coat about $30. Works really swell. Also available is a clear coat marker similar to a Sharpie. Drive it over a scratch or chip and it fills in with clear coat. About $15

We buff them out with Meguiar's Clear Coat Polishing Compound.

How to repair clear coat scratch?

If it is too deep to buff out, and needs some build up to help hide it, then clear fingernail polish is the easiest and best to use. If it is thru the color then get the touch up from harley.

Harley touch-up paint for sure I just used almost a whole bottle of Vivid Black on my saddle bag it hide's a lot I think I'm about to wrap my bag's up in bubble wrap when ever I take the bike out of the garage
