Hello All! New to the forum. Thanks for all the great info. Just curious if anyone has any experience with the Custom Dynamics TruBeam headlight. I am taking a look at the TruBeam and also the Daymaker from HD. TruBeam is about 100$ less and has some comparison videos online but doesn't necessarily say which lights it is showing. If anyone has any input on either it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had the daymaker on my old bike and loved it. I was looking at the TruBeam, I like the option of the halo that is offered by the TruBeam

Both seem nice. DayMaker really brightens things up. World of difference from the photo. Thanks for the responses.

If I was looking for a headlight I'd do more research on the JW Speaker 8790.

Sullyolive - is that the Daymaker projector or reflector. The photo appears to have good side coverage, which is a reflector plus. From what I've read, the projector has a longer but narrow beam. Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the Vortex Vision X headlight for motorcycles. (Model XMC-7RD). I put that headlight on my 15 Street Glide Special and I'm very happy with it. It's appears to be identical to the Custom Dynamics Tru-Beam. It typically sells for $419 but right now there is a $50 rebate.

I've been real interested in the vision x, how is the install? I have a 2014 SGS, did you have to get a special harness and all that? How does the halo tie into the wiring? I would like to have high and low beam both on when on high beam.

Sorry for all the questions but I haven't been able to find a lot of info on this light so far.

They are all nice until you get in a turn. Then you see the "D" shape pattern and the huge dark areas. I'm still a fan of the dual halogen housing with Cree Leds. Wish I could figure out how to wire into my Limited.

just installed the CD Trubeam. I went with this light because it had the halo and I can use my low beam and high beam simultaneously. You need additional piece offered by CD for both to stay on.

I have ridden at night with it already and barring the fact that the light needs to be adjusted and properly aimed. I am happy with it.

It was a toss up between JW and CD for me.
