Daymaker Headlight on Amazon Question

Hey guys. I've decided to replace my headlight on my bike with the Daymaker I've read so much about it on this forum. Everyone that has one seems to love it. I don't ride that much at night but if this headlight makes being seen during the day better, I'm for it.

My question is, the Harley dealership sells this light for $525. I found the same light on Amazon for $369 shipped. Has anyone bought this light off Amazon? Is it truly the same? That's a big difference but I know Harley has a huge mark up. My dealership accidentally printed me out my parts list last weekend when I was buying the street glide and it has their "cost" listed on it as well. All the parts were at least doubled, some tripled on what they pay. Is this headlight just another example of them being a "stealership"?

Thanks.

The LED headlamp is great at night. Due to its tightly controlled beam it is less noticeable during daylight, especially to vehicles approaching from the side.

Thank you. Wonder if it's worth the investment since I don't ride at night much at all.

Do you anyone that's purchased this light off Amazon? Is it the same light Harley sells?

I wonder if kutter has the same prices in the dealership. I should check that out.

I stopped by Kutter today they do have the same prices as on the net but you have to pay tax.

They also stock custom dynamics led turn signals

I really like my Custom Dynamic signals all the way around and they have great customer service!

No the ones from amazon are made by other company, they are local to me and when I call them they don't have one for my 14 SG, they use osram LEDs and if I'm correct the HD they use other brand of LEDs

Both the HD version and amazon led are produced by JW speaker. Harley slaps there logo on and 150.00 or so.. http://issuu.com/jwspeaker/docs/2014_jws_catalog_webb

Ha Ha, ain't it the truth! You can get around a lot of HD MSRP-itis by dealing with Jon at PCpain or Kutters HD. I saved $106 on my Daymaker from one of them and didn't have to pay sales tax (9.25% TN) ! The dealer wanted 1/ hr labor to do it ($44). My buddy Spazz gave simplified instructions thru this Forum and I put the thing on in less than 15 minutes.

Well I can say Jon got me a great deal on $855 worth of parts. He is Horny Toad's Internet Sales guy. Free shipping on orders over $99 and no sales tax for me!
