I sent a sketch to custom engraving ltd, worked the proof via email, and then they engraved and chromed it.

Did you supply the derby?

No, I just told them the bike model and they provided the materials and expertise.
They also do color stuff, black derbies, and gold plating. The standard engraving worked well for this design.

How much did it costs?

Derby prices start at 195 and go up for art fees and extra colors. They do horn covers, gas doors, and other bits, too.
I think the finished product was well worth the expense.
