Clutch tension after switching to apes

Has anyone else notice an increase in force required to pull the lever? Mine is much stiffer after switching to 12' apes. I'm using a magnum shielding cable and have it routed the same as stock.

Double check your adjustment procedure. Should not matter what bars are on there.

I've tried routing it differently. I'm wondering if my cable wasn't lubed from the factory or something. We got caught in a 4 hour downpour and in the morning my clutch seemed stiffer than the previous day.

I lubed it up and it is great now. So much for not needing to lube the Magnum cable.

I hear ya.... installed a new cable on a friends sled after a bar swap... super stiff. I took it apart and lubed it... IT WAS BONE DRY out of the package.... I couldn't believe it. Works great now....
