Batwing Mini-Ape Handlebar extended controls?

Batwing Mini-Ape Handlebar extended controls?

I just installed 12" monkey bars on my '16 SGS. You do not need longer brake/clutch cables to do this. I was able to use my stock just fine.

Here's one of the best videos for the Rushmore bikes. He's also got one for a '12 I believe.

As far as wiring goes, it's my understanding you can release the wiring from the fair in and bring it up to the outlet on the bars, but I didn't like that idea. I would highly recommend spending the $35 to buy plug-n-play wire extensions made by Namz.

I don't know what year your sg is but here's a link to the 14+ extensions. Get the 12" for guaranteed ease of wiring.

Just a note... I bought bars, extensions and polyurethane bushings on eBay all for under $400. Good luck man.

Buy the wiring extensions. Harley sells them too if you don't have time to wait on shipping but it will cost you. No need for clutch or brake lines. Took me about 7 hours to install my 13s on my 2015. I could probably do it in about 5-6 now that I know where everything goes.

Also, I believe on those bars it will put your hands right in your mirror view meaning you either live with it or buy the plugs for the fairing and add mirrors above the bars. I would check them out at your local dealer first.

I would have definitely go with 12" if I knew this....I asked the shop that installed it and I was told 10" max I can go with without replacing clutch/brake cables......oh well I am still happy with 10" as they don't stick out from the batwings....that's the part I like about 10" :)

Thanks man helps I just wasn't sure if you had too. I have a 2015 SGS

The 12" yaffee bars do sit above the fairing, however they do not block the mirrors. I have a perfect view of them under my forearms. I absolutely hate bar mirrors.
