Just got my Streetglide, and the only thing I'm not digging right now is my hand placement. ID like to be in a little more aggressive position.

I have been looking at the RSD FL King Apes Bagger bars in 8 inch. I would like to keep my hands inside the fairing, so these look pretty interesting.

Anyone use these? Or anything similar?

Thanks

8" can't be much different than stock. I installed 10" Wild Ones and my hands are right at the top of the fairing. I'm only 5'8".

I'm 5'8" as well. The height of stock bars isn't bad, I'd just like my wrists to be a little flatter.

I'm 5'7"... 12" monkeys are at the top of the fairing and just under shoulder height for me.... I know you want to keep below the fairing, but the comfort factor for me riding went way up... just a thought

12" ymb here to, the nice thing about the monkey bars of any hight for me is the straight wrist angle making them very comfortable.

That's what I'm looking for, the straight wrist angle. I'll check out the other heights of them

KST 10 3/4" mayhem Bagger bars.

14 FlHX. I just ordered a set of mayhem.. They told me 3-4 weeks, which is fine living in michigan. We might get to ride by June!!! How is your wrist position? I'm 6-2 and didn't want to be higher than the fairing.

I looked at the Mayhem bars at Daytona last year and really liked them. Liked the guys at the booth. Just couldn't get away from the Yaffe bars so ordered them today

Pappa, Wrist angle is awesome, more straight across vs like a wheel barrow (stock).

I wonder why such a long wait? I ordered mine from Eastern Performance Cycle and they had them in stock.

Thanks, wheel barrow LOL!!!.. Ordered them directly from KST.. She said team was heading to Daytona.. Will be in full production when they return..

I've checked out the KST ones and the Yaffe's. They're both a little taller than Im wanting to do. The Road 6 customs Holey Rollers are interesting and some from Factory 47.

I'm not a huge fan of the spiky tops. I don't mind a mitered/coped joint, but not all crazy swoopy.

Heck, I might just have to make my own.

Thanks for all the info guys.

Look at Yaffe Classics... Wild1's LA Choppers.... The best thing I can tell you is find some local guys with bars to your liking and ASK to sit on it and get a feel.

Regardless of what you see/read on the net... The pullback, rise and wrist angle all vary to a degree from each bar. The ONLY way to know what you want ( truly ) is a 'first-hand grab' while sitting on a bike. A bar might 'spec' to what you want, but until you sit behind them... you will NEVER know. I know several owners that have gone thru 2-3 sets of bars because they were not 'just right' for them.

Great advice.

That's what I'm trying to avoid...a lengthy bar swap fiasco. I'll hit up some local spots and check some bars before I get into it to deep.

I'm also looking at new bars and have a couple of questions. For you guys with the YMB 12' Is the wrist angle less than stock bars? I would like my wrists to be more straight. Did you also change the bushing to urethane? Is there enough room for wiring for heated grips? And did any of you just splice the TBW? I see no reason why extensions couldn't just be soldered, but it seems most replace the sensor. Thanks guys for the input.
