Hey all. I have my 2015 FLHXS torn apart - doing new PY MBB 12", new hertz horns and mid drivers, hidden antenna, and heated grips. I'm sold on the Avon heated grips. Here is my question: do I have to use the switch that comes with the grips or can I get a HD switch to put in the accessory panel by the ignition?

Thx!!

I wrote to Avon about that same question. They advised me to call them at 800-334-7477 and talk to their top tech Lee Shepherd. I did not get a chance to call him yesterday. Hope he can help you and post the answer if you can. Thanks

I emailed them this evening. This weekend is pretty slammed for me but I will give them a call next week. I bought the grips through revzilla but saw something on Avons website about newer touring models being way easier to install their heated grips on due to the bike already having the stock heated grip wiring. It would surely be nice to use a switch in the accessory switch panel. Do you have the part numbers for the HD switches in black and chrome? I have a 2015 FLHXS

The switch part # is 714000105 and they cost $119.95 at Harley dealer.

True but that was not the question? The question was does anyone have the part # of the HD switch in black & chrome. I thought you want to try to rig the HD switches some how. Avon already told me that their was no alternative switch that could replace their controller. Sorry if I miss understood what you were looking for.
