2015 fender on 2009???

im trying to install a 2015 fender on my 2009.im having problems getting the brake lights to work on the new fender.running and turnsignals work fine.i like the look without the old brake light but am flustered

Did you resolve this issue?, I have a 2015 Canadian SG and purchased a complete rear fender from a 2016 US bike and having the same issue, the main harness plug under the seat looks the same with the same wire colors? Not sure what is going on

There are differences between your Canadian model and the US model rear lights. Have a look at this page, there seems to be a bunch of US only & Canada only parts.

So after a lot of hours spent on the web, I found that the dealer can program the BCM to either have a separate brake light or the option of run/turn/brake, here is an article that shows the Digital Tech II program setup, now I just need to pay the dealer to ref lash the BCM, hope this helps others
