OK, So after starting a few threads and getting great advice from all of you I pulled the trigger and picked up 12" Yaffe Bars for my 2008 Street Glide.
From what I read my brake and clutch cables are long enough and will not need to be replaced.
I will need the wire extensions for the hand controls though.
(From info I was just given, I may need to extend the clutch and brake cables. Anyone with a 2008 SG care to chime in please.)
NAMZ and LA Chopper both make complete kits from what I read. However the price difference is fairly large.
What it the difference?

NAMZ - http://www.namzcustomcycleproducts.com/products/handlebar_extension_kits_07_up.html#top

and

LA Choppers (through Revzilla) - http://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/...nsion-wiring-kit-for-harley-touring-2008-2013

I can't say for sure... but the difference may be in the type
... some are plug and play and some require splices to be added to extend.

Also... I can't say for sure on a 2008... but I am 90% sure you need an extended clutch cable and extended brake line off the reservoir....as well as wire extension... I know I did for a friend's 10" bars on an 2001 EG

For a 2014/15.... noting is needed except 8" namz extensions for hand controls up to 12".

Just make sure the info you received on what was required is valid for your 2008 and not another year Tha has different setups...

Thank you for the information. I updated the post to be a bit more specific. I need to research more for the 2008.

It looks like on the NAMZ the connector ends are already attached to the wires and on the Revzilla kit you'll have to crimp all the ends on. Can't tell you anything about what exactly you'll need on pre-14 bikes, sorry.

So I made a few calls and get what I needed. I do need to do the brake and clutch cables as well as the wires. Revzilla had a kit for it all. I ordered up the Midnight Stainless set for the nicer look. I also did the Yaffe super clamp.
Now I just need some new grips and I'll be ready to install.

Well...I just put a set of 15" Burly's on my '09, and it is a pain. The biggest pain is the wire kit you ordered...waste of money if you're gonna run them internally! All of their pre installed connectors are all at the same length, and even though they tell you they will fit through the bars...it's a big fat lie. You're gonna end up cutting, staggering, and splicing...trust me. Anyone here will tell you that.
