Will a 2009 touring header pipe fit a 2014?

I posted a question moments ago regarding finding someone to install 18mm bungs on my stock 2014 catless exhaust. Is there any reason I couldn't use a 2009 header pipe that already has 18mm bungs on it with a Target Tune wide band closed loop system?

Yes you can use a 2009 header pipe on a 2014 touring model. I have a 2009 V&H Pro Pipe on my 2015 SGS.

Just ensure the 18mm bungs are up close to the jugs... wideband O2's should be installed up close to the jugs to get an accurate reading by design. If they are in the stock location, as your current narrowband O2's, I am not certain you will get an accurate reading that far away from the jugs.

Something to research before you dive in..... as I am not 100% sure on how they will read since every wideband O2 I have seen installed ( by design ) is on the down tube as close as possible to the jugs.

That will work fine with Target tune.

Thanks Spazz. I decided to just give the guys at Fuel Moto a call to verify. Since the stock 18mm o2 bungs on a '09 head pipe are way up by the exhaust port it will work. What Jamie said though is that an aftermarket pipe (such as their jackpot) has the ports somewhat higher on the pipe which is even more optimal. They said this will work though.

I'm just buying my time with this setup, really. After the riding season comes to a close, will be taking my bike in for a 107" build. They recommend D&D Boarzilla with their builds so my current 4" Rinehart slip-ons and the stock headpipe will be retired to the "extra parts pile". I'm actually kinda surprised that the builder insists on a boarzilla since i usually hear it being used with >110 engines. I suppose it really comes down to the headwork and amount of flow. They are confident in their work so I'm not really questioning their choice for exhaust.
