Hello all, its been awhile since I have posted here. I am still riding my 2013 Street Glide and loving it for the last 12k miles. Now I am wanting to do some upgrades to the exhaust primarily with the possibility of cams later. All my reading has just produced more questions.

Goals: I hope to reduce right leg heat as well get some performance increase. I currently have V&H slash cut slip on mufflers now. I really like the sound with stock header.

I stopped by my dealership/ shop to pick their brains about it and this is what they recommend.

HD Heavy Breather intake... anybody else have this intake? How do you like it and does it get in the way of your leg when you ride?

V&H Power duals... Is anyone here running these? I have read horror stories of guys dumping a bunch of money on exhaust/ intake and actually losing power but I think those are probably true dual set ups with no engine work but I'm not sure. The V&H header he showed me had a cross over section in the middle.. 2-1-2 I think

SE pro street tuner... He recommended if I think I may want to do a cam upgrade later on to go with a power commander 5 or Power vision. While the last two are more expensive it allows a lot more in the way of getting the most out of your performance upgrades.

Thank you for your help and anything you can offer me in the way of advice will be appreciated. I just done want to dump this $$ in and be disappointed if performance drops off. I know performance will not be dramatic until I do cams... if I do.

Get a head pipe from Fuel Moto. Your sound will change with out the cat converter. It uses the stock covers.

I like the S&S Stealth intake, but they pretty much all work OK. Get one you like the looks of.

Power Vision from Dynojet is a great tuner and many shops are familiar with it.

I have the power duals and FP3 with the same mufflers and it gave my bike lots more power. You could tell the difference from the seat first ride.

Thank you TomA. This is good news. I will look up the FP3 tuner. They quoted an SE street tuner but warned me that in the future if I do cams it might not work so good, I'm guessing it has several canned tunes for basic stage one stuff. I am leaning in the direction of the Power commander 5 for now.

The Street Tuner has canned maps for all the Harley stuff including all the stage kits (up to stage 5) and crate motors up to 120". The Harley stage kits are really quite good and some offer a lot of power.

Thank you hulkss. I am going to look them up. I have a couple months yet so I am going to keep asking questions and reading up on this topic. I just want to make sure I am totally happy with my decision after spending this much money.
