Stock radio problems

My stock radio works but no sound. Radio stop working on a ride if I cut the bike off and on a lil sound will play for a sec them will not work anymore. I the code say B2016 Front speakers shorted. What does it mean? Does it mean I need new speakers or new radio. Please help I am LOST!!!!

Some where in the wiring from the head unit to the speaker there is a cut or break in the wire causing a short. Or worst case there is a short in the amp section of the head unit.
