I thought I posted this... I did... but not the full story.....
I have the mod-bug ( who doesn't? ) and I couldn't stand having my scoot stock for very much longer....
An HD brother just upgraded his tuner and exhaust and had the FL-VIED-10 off his 2013 SG and he just GAVE it to me! What a friend!!!
Then he texts me about some Rhineharts on Craigslist... so I call the guy and meet up with him...they are off an older HD.. 2000-2001 Road Glide I believe.
When I get there... they are covered in burnt oil... some scuffs and the finish looked like he tried cleaning them with scotch-brite pads... couldn't even see a reflection in a lot of places. Sigh...
Being resourceful as I am... I see potential with knowing a few things about reviving damaged chrome... I offer him a price and I take them home.
I spent about an hour cleaning and buffing them.. then come to find out that the ID is 2" and the head pipes on my 14 SGS are 1.75". So... I get some 2" OD tubing with an ID of 1.75" and split it to make a shim to slip into the end of the Rhineharts and over my head pipe....
They came out pretty good and sound really good...for now... while I shelf my tuner, breather, CFR's and Vance and Hines Power Duals!
OH... wait.... I didn't tell you how much...
$40!!! :icon_eddie:
That is my score!
