Anyone put the Rushmore round ac to replace the the football system yet? I like the looks and want to do this, just couious what the diffrences are

Yes, it can be done...
...with a caveat.
You cannot use the entire airbox assembly. Won't work.
But you can use the Rushmore style chrome (or black) a/c cover if you have a common stage one intake upgrade. Works better than the "football" style cover as the Rushmore cover has a forward facing scoop to grab more of the cooler ambient air and direct it to the air filter & intake.
There are some parts that you'll need, though.
Here's how I've seen it done on a 2010 SG..
You have to install the SCREAMIN' EAGLE air cleaner kit... # 29260-08... or similar a/market stage one kit if you have an '08 thru '13 model.
Then you have to purchase some parts from the SE a/c kit that fits the Rushmore kit in order to install the Rushmore cover on your pre-Rushmore SG.
I'll attach a copy of the RUSHMORE SE Stage 1 kit instructions as well as the "29260-08" SE stage 1 kit instructions (that fits YOUR bike)...There are subtle differences, and the RUSHMORE kit is NOT for your bike (but two parts of it will make the a/c cover fit your bike), so you'll see what parts I'm referring to in the diagram & parts list.

** You probably already know this, but there are loads of the Rushmore OEM covers on eBay. Or, better yet, right here on the forum classifieds. You may be able to get ALL the needed parts (cover, spacer & adapter) in one purchase.*The spacer & adapter are essential.
I bought a spare one recently to have painted in Charcoal Pearl to match my bike.
You'll need the "SPACER"... Part number 29400161 (# 10 in the parts table for the Rushmore a/c kit)
You'll also need the "Air cleaner cover adapter" ... Part number 29400159 ( # 9 in the parts table...)
