Rinehart Classic Duals question/problem

Ok so I got a question for anyone reading. I installed Rinehart classic duals on my 2016 Street Glide. The rear cylinder exhaust routes through frame by left passenger footpeg and back. Harley changed position of footpeg slightly for 2016 which caused a problem with that footpeg with exhaust. Do you guys think Rinehart should be responsible or dealer I purchased from because of this change? Remind you that this was part number specific for my bike and year.
I did contact Rinehart and they were condescending. They said "Harley does not release changes early enough." I said "if they can't verify there is any changes then how can part be sold for new year?". No comment back from them as of yet. The Extreme duals header would be proper header for bike. To sum it up I think Rinehart should exchange. They said they were not in the business of exchanging. lol

I would think Customer Service would want to help out, but if you bought it from a dealer and the dealer installed it I would work on them. Your 1 guy buying an average of 1 or 2 exhausts, the dealer buys 100's.

I have RH's and am very happy but I have the True dual.

Unfortunately I bought and installed myself. I would think customer service should help some but basically they said buy the correct and sell the other.

You have 2-3 different positions for the rear pegs.... I know a few exhausts on the market cannot use EVERY location for the rear pegs. that being said, ensure you have at least one location that works with your exhaust before going any further.

Did you buy this system from YOUR dealer? Did you tell the parts dept. what the system was for? I would think the dealer would be responsible unless you walked up to the parts counter and ordered a specific part without ever addressing (or asking) fitment. If you NEVER discussed fitment with the parts department, you're back to what the manufacturer said SELL 'EM, then buy correct fitment.

Unless....
If you still have the box they came in, and the part # CLEARLY shows that it fits YOUR particular make, model & year, the dealer has an issue with Rinehart.... NOT YOU...unless you purchased said exhaust system from "FAST FREDDIES ON-LINE UPHOLSTERY AND V-TWIN EXHAUST SYSTEMS" or a reasonable variation there of.
Somethin' smells rotten to me. Just sayin'....
