I just sold one of my bikes and I plan on using about $2K of it to do some upgrading on my 2016 SGS and I would love to hear some recommendations. The only upgrades I have made to date are VH slip-ons and CVO controls. Any ideas for what I should do next?

Some of this you may already have . . . . . . .
Recurve windshield
Fork wind deflectors
SE aircleaner
Tuner module
Bike cover
LED headlight
LED turn signals
Other assorted Bling

I put Custom Dynamics LED lights all the way around, safety first.

I'm with these guy's do the lights for safety and then move on to the rest of the upgrades.

I would buy a good LED headlight, use custom dynamics to upgrade the tri-bar to a running / brake light, hide the antenna and put in the Pugz antenna fillers. I have mine a brake and turn, and use LED inserts for the other lights. Then take the rest of the money and either add bling, or some slip on mufflers and possibly a stage 1.

They make one that attaches to the case savers and extends toward you to where you can reach it.. Chrome and black I thinks.. if I find the link again i'll post it.

First: Make the bike comfortable and fit to your size: bars, seat, foot boards, levers, windshield, shocks, etc.
Second: Make it sound the way you want: mufflers, head pipes.
Third: Equipment for your kind of riding: bag liners, pouches, luggage rack, led headlight, etc.
Fourth: Make it look the way you want: endless choices here
Fifth: Make more power and torque: big bore kit, heads, cam, throttle body, tuner, etc.

Hulkss...you sure break it down sensibly and correctly!

The day I drove it home, my wife was driving behind me and said that I definitely needed to do something about the lighting in the rear. I changed the blinkers to the CD LED's and added the HD bag lights. I think I can be seen now.

If your looking for a drink holder for your glide, get a cruzer caddy and mount it to the engine guard. Woks great.

Ride Safe

Highway pegs are nice to have. You can rob the rear passenger pegs, and attach to the new brackets that mount to the engine guard. Then, you can upgrade your rear pegs to passenger streamliner boards. They aren't cheap (about $400 for the rear passenger kit), but they look nice and they are more comfortable for the passenger.

Probably the least cheasy drink holder you can put on the bike. Only problem, is that you're limited to a water bottle size drink that has a cap on it, so coffee cups are out.

I agree with a few others here Lights especially on the rear those factory lights just don't cut it at night. I used the CD plasma rods and Led rear bulbs. Then add the AUX lights and go LED on the front. Makes the bike much more visible day or night also big difference in driving at night.

Then for me it's time to add HP & TQ then some more HP & TQ before adding any bling.
