I have Rineharts 4" still hooked up to stock Harley headers. I bought a decatted header and am wondering just how loud this set up will be.I am not looking for sound just trying to disperse a lot of heat on the right side.Anyone have the same set up and what can I expect.
Tks

I have this exact set up and it does reduce the heat. The sound is different but not by much. You'll like it just fine.

I'm also running Rinehart's 4" with stock no-cat header. Sounds great and runs nice and cool.

Tks for the info iron horse great to know. Does decatting it reduce a lot of heat hoping for at least 50%

It causes that hot spot to be less noticeable and is worth the effort. 50% reduction in heat probably not possible, but relief in that area.... YES!

Stator - How did this work out for You? What header did you buy?
I have the same setup , seeking the same outcome
Thanks

If anyone is interested I have a properly de-catted head pipe off my 2014 FLHXS. By proper I mean the entire Cat section was precision cut off and replaced/welded with a new empty section and painted with hi-heat paint. PM me if interested - Mojo.

SOLD Thx everyone

I bought a stock header on ebay for $35.00 opened it up and removed the cat and tigg welded
it all up . Painted it with high heat bbq paint. I will install this winter and hope all will be fine when i use my fp3 to autotune

Should be 2 into 1 into 2 helps with flow and recovery. Plus hp gain would be maxed if dyno tuned

Stator...sorry for the bad news...but the FP3 Auto tune won't work right without the cat. You can still load what ever map you want....you just wont be able to auto tune correctly any more. I am told this is due to "Cross Talk" between the O2 sensors, that wouldn't happen if the cat was still there.
