Preparing Parts Inventory for Future Cam Update - Need Assistence

I'm preparing a cam update inventory and would like any input, ideas, suggestions for my plan.

The forums have provided a tremendous amount of great information on this topic. The below list contains the items I believe I need to include to get a "complete" cam update for my bike.

Bike: 2016 FLHXS with just over 300 miles on her. Current upgrades are: V&H FP3 using the V&H stock map.

My plan is to have a discussion with whomever will be performing this upgrade, purchase the parts on my completed list, and have the cam upgrade performed during my 1K service along with new exhaust, headers, A/C upgrade.

Questions:

Am I missing any parts or am I including parts not really required?

What parts manufacturers would be the ones to focus on here (HD, S&S, others)?

Would it be best to stay with a single parts manufacturer?

In other words, can I mix and match parts from different manufacturers or would it be best to stay with a single manufacturer?

List of parts to include in a cam update:

Cams
Inner cam bearings
Valve Springs
Push Rods
Lifters

Any assist in this would be greatly appreciated.

You can miss and match but l like to stay with S&S or Fueling parts. right now Fueling is what I am selling in my shop. still working on the S&S dealership.. All you need is Cams, cam install kit and pushrods. you really don't need the lifters and spring unless you are going over the S&S 585 lift. I wouldn't go bigger than 585 unless you are going to raise the compression. I can get you a good deal on a Fueling Reaper 574 cams and everything to do the install. PM me for the price.

Just for piece of mind are the aftermarket cam plates and oil pumps, improved oil volume on an air cooled bike is a good thing.

Pick one of the kits in the attached files. They are well engineered and will keep your warranty intact.

I have decided, for the moment anyway, not to install the cams ......

The cost vs gains doesn't appear to be worth it for me at this point .... unless of course I can convince my three kids to pick up the tab for me ..... we shall see ....

I'm bringing the bike in for her 1K maintenance tomorrow ....

She's also having an SE A/C, V&H Dresser Duals, and Rinehart 4" mufflers installed .....

I have an FP3 already installed that the service guys will flash for me. Then I'll go through a number of auto-tune sessions ...... After which ...... I may do a cam upgrade ......

Either way, this winter or next spring I will install some 12" Factory 47 Assault bars and a Custom Auxiliary Lighting Kit .....

It will be the SE 585's or something equivalent from S&S ...... I'll continue researching and cross that bridge if/when I do the upgrade .....

Jumping on this one neighbor I am curious of the benefits of the Cam upgrade and I'm looking at the same bars for my bike.
