Oil leak?

This is my first motorcycle and I noticed an oil leak today. It only has 35 miles on. I'm wondering if this has something to do with break-in and seals expanding or if this is an oil leak that I should address with the harley shop.

You need to take the bike back to the dealer you purchased the bike from and get the leak fixed, you should not be experiencing any leaks whatsoever.

Thanks. I took it in and it was a 5 minute fix (busted seal).

Yep I've had a couple on mine. Just mostly they don't tighten enough when they change the primary

Here is a photo from a typical Harley dealer years ago (note drip pan under bike).



They would say "Harley's mark their spot".
Today, no leaks should be tolerated. It should be repaired by the dealer. I did not say no leaks is the norm cause It Happens.

just FYI, on my 2010 I had an oil leak for 6 months and no one could figure out why. Ended up the dealer caught it and suggested it was the non-harley sarter that had been installed.sure enough when went back to the Harley starter, leak stopped!
