New Cams Needed

Got fuel moto 2/1/2 header, CVO exhaust 2 inch fullsac baffles, and fuel moto billet intake. After Vance and Hines recommendation on the map the bike feels less torque than before on the low end. I guess the next logical step is put different cams in. Maximum rpm will be around 4K for me at shift point. Any idea what would be best cams for my bike?

One of the "torque" cam grinds from either Screamin Eagle, S&S, or Fueling Engineering. They at designed for a large, flat torque curve and come in by 2200 - 2500 rpm.

shaochieh.young,

I can appreciate wanting new cams, but you stated "bike feels less torque than before on the low end", most everyone else has experienced and would typically experience a much improved and more torqued response from the parts upgrade you just made. You didn't state which tuner you are using, I am assuming a FP3 based on you referencing a VH map. I think you should be experiencing a significant improvement over a stock SGS setup. I would address this issue before moving to a new cam, there are plenty of folks here who can help, as well as, Fuelmoto to validate your settings.

You have a good point. I do have FP3 and the fuel map may not match well. I may have to get another tuner and get a better fuel map.

I do know there settings on the FP3 for users outside of the USA, I would make sure you know if your bike was produced for sale outside the USA. The FP3 is capable of emailing your current settings to VH technical support, I would consider doing that before purchasing a new tuner.

I got an US specification bike and US FP3 unit. I called and they did suggest a few maps to auto tune. I will wait to see if it is better in a few days.

I'm running a 16 SGS with decat heads, 2 1/2 baffles, SE heavy breather and the FP3.

I've got a great results from those three. Most important thing is to properly run the auto tune. There are some good articles on this forum as to how to properly auto tune.

Good luck!
