Need to gut my rear light bar

2016 SGS. I need to remove the insides of my light bar so I can get it Powder Coated. I was able to figure out how to release the bulb hub/reflector, but not how to unclip the wires. (I will admit, I didn't give it a lot of effort) Do the wires disconnect from bulb hub/reflector or do I need to cut them?

Best bet is to unpin the connector, remove the rubber boot and slide them out thru the housing. I have not done it personally, but from those that did, this was the best way to go. Unpinning the connectors can be a PITA if you have never done them.. be patient

As Spazz said, push the wire in causing the pin to rise. You will see its a white (I think) disk with a tab in the socket. Just tilt the disk tilting the tab down. this should allow the disc to come out. take the pin connection apart from the wire by bending the tabs back etc....
 
Gotta love guys that put videos on YouTube. I did mine completely backwards but got the same result
