Lower Fairings

I'm want to get some hard lower fairings for my 14 SG but I'm torn between OEM from HD or aftermarket. I know there's a big difference in price but you always get what you pay for and I hate learning the hard way. Also my bike is denim black and I know aftermarket can be hard to match and after reading some other post, I'm not even sure they'll match from the dealership. Any suggestions or words of encouragement... Lol

Tbrown, I'm in the same boat as you. Itching to pull the trigger on Hogworkz for $250 already painted denim black, this includes the mounting hardware. I just can't find enough reviews and pics to make the final decision.

I've had both Fairing Factory and HD's lowers on my '14 SGS. In my opinion there is definitely a difference between the two. HD's so definitely better quality plus their speaker pods are tuned and ported.

Tuned and Ported ? How so, my inquiring mind wants to know??

Their tuned and ported for speakers if your running speakers pods. The air space in HD vs FF is totally different.

Thanks bryan0994. I have a set of the FF pods but never really looked at them since I'm not using them. I did however notice the FF storage pods are different shaped than the HD storage pods.

No problem mojo. Pete with Soundz educated me on those. The '13 down bikes there not much different between the two brands, but there is on the '14 up bikes.
