Illuminated mirror caps From Harley

Has anyone installed these? They aren't too bad in price but my Dealer said it takes 2 hours to install because the speaker pods have to be removed?!
That's a lot of time. The fairing looks easy yet it appears there are a lot of pod bolts and some in poor places. Any experience?

Never seen them, but I ca attest taking the fairing off is quite easy. Taking the white plastic speaker pods off a huge PITA. Would need a couple of hours/beers for sure ;-)

According to the part instruction sheet, you do not need to remove the speaker pods. You remove the outer fairing (takes a few minutes), drill a small hole for the wiring, mount the covers, connect the wiring, and then reinstall the outer fairing. I really don't think it would take 2 hours.

My local HD shop treated me right. Charged me 207 installed. They are nice and really pleased. Will take some pictures.

My son and I did mine took about 1 1/2 but took my time the dealer wanted 150 or so for the install, no thanks..

Too bad they don't come in black....
