HELP with original air cleaner assembly installation

Good afternoon everyone. I have a 2015 SGS. I've been running a Vance and Hines VO2 Grenade and want to go back to the stock air cleaner assembly. I can't for the life of me remember how to re-install the original assembly "FROM THE HEADS". The "service manual" shows the air cleaner assembly from the PLASTIC "Backplate" to the air cleaner cover. PROBLEM IS....I can't find anything that shows the assembly FROM THE HEADS. They fail to show the 2 black, 1 inch tall metal inserts that the breather bolts go through when they connect to the heads, the METAL backplate and the 3 strange looking 13 mm screw/bolts that actually attach the metal backplate to the throttle body. Every "figure" or "You Tube" video instructs from the PLASTIC backplate to the cover. That PLASTIC backplate is not what is attached to the heads. NOT TO MENTION....I totally remember the Breather "TUBE" being attached to the METAL backplate, NOT the PLASTIC backplate. If that explanation doesn't make sense, I can send pictures. PLEASE HELP!!! As you can see, I'm a bit frustrated.

Thanks for the response. I've seen those schematics. Neither show the metal backplate or 3 screw/bolts as described in my post. It only shows the plastic backplate. I will try and send a pic.

They don't show the 2 black inserts I described either. Anybody else. Any mechanics who have removed the air cleaner assembly "to the heads"?

This black insert (see the breather bolt), and the METAL back plate with 3 bolt/screws.

Please re-read my original post and see the pics I just posted. I can't figure out how the items in the pics I just posted, connect to the air assembly.

PLEASE NOTICE that the schematics you just showed DO NOT show any of the parts I just sent pics of....yet they all connect somehow. THAT'S my problem.

I thought you were trying to install the "original assembly". The photos are not factory parts on a 2015 SGS.

Are you saying the photos "I" sent are not factory parts of a 2015 SGS??

Because the pics I sent are stock parts off my stock 2015 SGS that I bought new from the dealer. This is crazy..😦

Thank you. I did have the Fuel Moto set up a while back before switching the Vance and Hines. I can't even keep up with my own mod s***, for crying out loud. I feel like an idiot. No wonder nothing was fitting together properly. I cannot thank you enough. I'll breathe now. ✌️

One more quick question....Does the seal ring float by itself "behind" the backplate, or is it the same one that is already part of the backplate? Should there be a paper gasket between the backplate and the throttle housing? Thanks

Fuel Moto uses a gasket, HD uses a seal ring.

Roger that. No gasket.....and the rubber seal ring goes "behind" the backplate against the body, right??
