Help.....Full Exhaust system dilema?

Blues, you're a stand up guy! It's been a pleasure arguing with you;)
I get mine Dyno tuned this Saturday, so maybe I will end up with egg on my face. Lol. If nothing else, maybe I can stop my brand new Bassani's from turning gold.

Then get the pro pipe.... put it on yourself and run it... watch my videos.... I love the sound and performance increase

Spazz....
Seen your videos bike sounds great
Blues, I'm not a mechanic, so, you could be right. But, if it is enough to stop sound, why not escaping gasses? Torque, most likely will not be as affected as HP, at higher RPM'S. Again, I am not a mechanic. Also, the mechanics who sold me on the idea, told me that this is where you can gain the most, without cracking the case.

Great reply! The cat is of a waffle design and is the same as used in 110" engines. Once again stage one and two will not be affected by the flow of the cat but sound will. Heat is the issue. There is a lot of misinformation out there even among seasoned mechanics. I have have done a ton of research Hulkss and others run the stock head pipe and are happy with its performance. Should you choose a different path please report you findings so I may add your information to my catalog of information.
Great thing about this forum is that we can go back and forth and not necessarily agree but we have shared valuable information that benefits us all.
I personally run a stock head pipe with CVO mufflers, Fuelmoto intake, and stage one download. My bike rocks, at least to my satisfaction. I am a veteran of many old school builds and understand the dynamics of HD engines as well a street rod engines of which I have had many and still do. That said I know know I'm not always right.

Have a great day,

Blues

Bafflingbs,
How do you like your bassani? Is it the 2 into 1?

I love my Bassani's! They are a 2 muffler system. I originally wanted CFR's. But apparently, so does the rest of the world. The Bassani's almost perfectly match the CFR's, with their Deep N Throaty, low rumble. Hence the name; DNT... With the stock header on, they were extremely tame. With the Jackpot header, they are a little wilder.

I have the slim line duals and 4" rinehart mufflers and love them. There are a few you tube videos of the exhaust on differant bikes that I listened too before buying, they sound even better in person.

Ok, so I had it Dyno'd it today. 86.5 HP and 107.5 TQ. I think stock numbers are around 74 & 97. I don't know if the head pipe had a lot to do with the gains, but I love not feeling like the right side of my bike is on fire.
