I am in the process of putting V&H power duals on my 15SGS with Bassani DNT mufflers. I have everything installed but haven't finished tightening down all the bots yet. My question is when torqueing the flange bolts I'm at around 60 in-lbs and they seam very tight. I'm a concerned about snapping the stud off, is it supposed to be that tight?

I used some anti seize compound, that seemed to help reduce run on torque, also recheck torque after the first couple rides, they will loosen up some.

If I recall correctly, when I installed my Fuel Moto header I was instructed to tighten to ~ 99 in-lbs. Just be sure you're using an in-lb wrench and not a ft-lb wrench. May sound silly but it's happened. And as noted, re-torque a couple times after heat cycling.
