Ive thought about the Tire shredder kit but
Bang or the Buck is my concern
I don't need a ton of HP,I really want more TQ
I know there's some really nice after market stuff
Obviously the new one from TTS has my attention but I payed for the extended warranty and I know if My shop uses Harley Cams I'm still covered
What HD cams will give me more off the line and through 4500k RPM range (like the T100)

Thanks
I'll look at it
I'm still pretty sure the 255 in the bike now is the best cam for my riding preference and I should probably leave well enough alone.
I love the torque off the line and I really don't have a use for more HP other than bragging rights
My buddies '11 Road glide runs a 204 (Dynoed 90HP 107.5 FP TQ) and I'll jump out on him but he takes over in high gear (one time race) not in a habit of doing that very often
I'm guessing the 585 will do a little better but maybe not worth spending the $

The stock cam is not a 255.

Adding high compression pistons will recover some lost low end torque with the "bigger" cams.

Yep, the .585 cam and the 10.5 pistons will make for a large flat torque curve and make power. Proper pipes and tuner finishes it off. The factory Rushmore cams just have the same duration numbers as the SE.555 cam, not the lift, and just installing one of them isn't worth the expense.

Hey Slingshot,
So, ...If I understand you correctly, you're suggesting that simply installing a cam kit after having already added a "stage 1" set-up is NOT all that cost effective for the "relatively small gain" in performance. In your learned opinion, it would be better to invest in the pistons (10.5:1 compression bump) along with the cams. Correct?
Thanks. I'm currently in the "consideration" stage (fast approaching the "research stage") and absolutely appreciate posts like yours & HULKSS.

Yes, if you already have a Stage I done to the bike, skip just a cam change, and get the pistons, bigger cams, and the stronger clutch spring, best bang for the buck.

I have heard some good things about the Stage V here locally. Some guys don't like the HD engine mods but to each their own. I had my 2015 SG upgraded a bit this winter. 10.5.1 SE pistons SE Pro Tuner and SE 585 cams. With the arrival of better weather I put 700 miles on it over the past two weekends and it runs like a champ. Not tuned yet but will be in the next few weeks. The pull between 2500 and 4500 rpm is awesome IMO. HWY speed doing 80 at roughly 3000 rpm no down shift crack the throttle and it hits 100 mph quickly. I don't like to ride over 80 and it gets there fast. Lots of torque and sound is good. Works for me.
