So I have had these things all summer and have watched the velcro come unglued from the saddlebag lids due to sun and heat. About half the velcro on each lid won't stay attached any more as the glue backing is toast. The other half is still good. Any one have a solution for this when the bike has to live outside? Keeping the bike covered did not help any.

All I can think of is a new glue backing for the velcro or use goo-b-gone or something like that to get rid of the glue and start over with another type of lid cover.

Thanks,

David

I have the same problem and can't figure out a solution either. I know in the aviation business they use some sort of epoxy to attach velcro but I don't know exactly what it is and I have no one in the manufacturing side for help.

That is a good idea. I will see my local A&P this morning and try my best to remember. Have two flights with students so I might get distracted and forget. Was also thinking gorilla glue. I want to be able to get the stuff off of the bags though if I go another route some day.
