Was bored in garage as everyone slept yesterday morning, I thought...if I wanted a bike that sounded like a Yamaha, I'd a bought a Yamaha
.
So I had to take out the baffles. Got the baffles out and all the fiberglass packing.
Result. Sounds great, no decel popping, throttle seems a bit more responsive. AC and mapping (of course) still stock, cat still in. Very happy for my totally free mod. Wife says it sounds great.
I like having some noise as I ride and I like free. Coming from a 155 rwhp vrod, really more power won't compare to what I was use to, so for me, why bother. I didn't get this to be the fastest. No need for me to waste $$$ for slip-ons etc.
Just IMHO and my experience.
