Hi all, just signed for a new '16 street glide special today. Having 12" Yaffe Monkey bars put on along with S&S Power tune duals and CFR cans and a SE Heavy Breather air cleaner set up.

Had forward controls on my 2000 Road King and was thinking about getting some for my street glide, anyone installed them and what brand did you get? Not a floor board fan and wanted to hear if anyone had good or bad experience with any forward controls on a street glide. Thanks

More forward than the stock setup? No, don't think I've seen that.
I was initially not a floorboard fan, but when I started taking extended trips, I started to appreciate the extra comfort they offered over pegs.
What are you thinking of doing? Do you have a picture?

I have seen people do forward controls and they enjoy them but they are usually pretty tall. They look good but not for me. If you had them on the RK, you will probably be alright with them. Joker Machine, Jay Brake kit are a couple brands I have heard of. Probably find some options on Eastern Performance or J&P Cycles.

Had forward controls on my softail and at first wasn't a floor board fan either but now don't think I could go back to pegs. Not on long trips anyway. With that being said kuryakyn makes kits to move your floor boards forward and out a bit. Haven't tried them yet but hopefully someone who has will chime in as I'm curious about them myself.

I am 6'1" and have a 34 inch inseam so when I rest my feet on floorboards my knees are higher than my hips so on long trips it gets uncomfortable. I had the Kuryakin forward controls on my Road King but only because they were the only brand that made a forward control kit formthe RK in 2000.

I put them on my 2013. Up 1 out 1 I'm 6'6" I like them very comfortable to me. I also got the kuryakyn longhorn hwy pegs love them also

I ended up getting the Accutronix set up and went to start installing them tonight and immediately found troubles. Any idea how to get the cotter pin out of the brake pedal, seems there is no access and i am not keen on removing the header to reach behind to get to it. Any tips?

Seemed a lot more straightforward on the old Road King. Alos the directions seem vauge, anyone ever install these?

LSo I finally got around to finishing this project. This is my new 2016 SGS, has 12 in Paul Yaffe Monkey bars, S&S Power Tune Duals, CFR cans, SE Heavy Breather, and a SE tuner.

The forward controls are supposed to be 6inch forward but feel like almost stock length like on a stock Wide Glide, i expected to reach further for them (32 inch inseam). Anyway the fit and finish on them is first rate and look awesome. While i had the wrenches in hand i yanked off the crash bar, prefer the look without it.
