Fixin' to install H-D heated grips. Any advice?

Picked up a set of the "Streamilner" heated grips yesterday, just planning ahead for the cooler months. Anyone installed H-D heated grips on their SG? Any advice or tips will be appreciated

Well I will do my best to take a lot of pictures and document my install. I've done heated grips before (on my '02 Sportster 883R), but this is definitely going to be a more involved task. Seems like some bikes have a good amount of pre-wiring in place, and some don't - I'm hoping to NOT have to run wires all the way back to the diagnostic panel. The service manual calls out a power connector in the fairing, specifically for the heated grips... with the the caveat "if equipped" haha ��
